About the project​

The concept

The Agroprotector family concept involves the creation of a multi-agent system consisting of autonomous mobile robots for various purposes: monitoring crop conditions, applying active substances (fertilizers and pesticides), and providing the system with chemicals and energy.

Agricultural protection robot​

The Agro-Protector robot is an autonomous robotic system that moves across the field and provides the following functions:Monitoring the condition of crops

Recognizing various threats
Preparing a plan to combat detected threats
Fighting pests and diseases through chemical treatment of plants

Designed for preparing chemicals and charging batteries

Robot transporter

It performs the function of transporting reagents and batteries.

Service

The visualization system is designed to provide the user with data collected by the sensor system of an autonomous robot (agricultural protection robot). This system is part of an online plant protection service. The data is collected by the robot and other sensors (such as a weather station) directly on the field. The information from the sensors is then transmitted to a server. The server stores the data and, if necessary, transmits it to clients. The data is visualized on the user’s end device (such as a personal computer or smartphone) using a web interface.

The principle of operation of the Agro defender service

At the first stage, the farmer monitors the field and detects plant disease outbreaks, and sends photos to an expert selected from a list when sending a message. The system accumulates data based on the service’s operation and subsequently generates knowledge using the service’s built-in intelligent expert system.

At the second stage, the Agroprotector service will be integrated into the Agroprotector robot. This robot will drive around the field, monitor the condition of each plant on a daily basis, and alert the farmer about potential plant diseases and their management when it detects any issues. Additionally, the Agroprotector robot is planned to use the service’s recommendations to perform targeted spraying to prevent the spread of diseases throughout the field.
